We Have A Perfect Bible!
Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Not only is the Word of God PERFECT in the sense that it is INSPIRED (divinely breathed book because God Himself wrote it), INERRANT (free from error) and INFALLIBLE (incapable of being wrong), the Word of God is also perfect in the sense that it is COMPLETE. The word "perfect" means “complete; whole; entire.”
Because His Word is perfect, 3 times God said to not add or diminish from His Word. Once at the beginning of the Bible, again at the middle of the Bible and finally, at the end of the Bible.
Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Revelations 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Thank God we have everything we need when God gave us 66 books in the Scriptures. No new revelations needed. The cannon is complete!
